Gort Cancer Support
Gort Cancer Support was established in June 2007 to provide support and practical assistance to people affected by a cancer diagnosis. We adopt a holistic approach towards our clients and their family members by providing a range of activities and social events which will enhance our clients wellbeing and coping skills. Our cancer support centre is managed and operated by trained volunteers with the assistance of administrative staff and professional therapists. We offer a home from home environment where one will feel relaxed and welcome.
Our Registered Charity Number (RCN) is 20075927.
We were honoured to welcome Bob Woodhouse, Board Chair of G.W. Lisk Company, Inc & Dina Stuck, VP of Human Resources, to our centre today during their recent flying visit to Ireland from the U.S.
We are deeply grateful for their generous donation, which continues the incredible support we’ve received over the years from Lisk Ireland Ltd here in Gort. Their contribution will go directly towards providing FREE vital supportive services to individuals & families affected by a cancer diagnosis in our community.
Without donations and fundraising, we simply couldn’t continue to offer all the essential services available here in Hollyblue House. Every contribution makes a real difference & we are truly thankful for the ongoing support.
