Gort Cancer Support
Gort Cancer Support was established in June 2007 to provide support and practical assistance to people affected by a cancer diagnosis. We adopt a holistic approach towards our clients and their family members by providing a range of activities and social events which will enhance our clients wellbeing and coping skills. Our cancer support centre is managed and operated by trained volunteers with the assistance of administrative staff and professional therapists. We offer a home from home environment where one will feel relaxed and welcome.
Our Registered Charity Number (RCN) is 20075927.

As Sarcoma Awareness Month comes to a close, the message remains just as important.
Sarcoma is a rare cancer that can affect muscles, bones, and other connective tissues. It often starts as a painless lump or persistent pain—don’t ignore the signs.
Be aware of: • A lump that grows over time • Ongoing, unexplained pain or tenderness • Changes in how a limb moves or feels.
Sarcoma may be rare, but early detection can save lives. If something doesn’t feel right, speak to your GP.
